Iran's PROPOSAL and Trump's PROJECT FREEDOM- a new standoff?

As the Middle East Conflict moves, enters a new strategic move- 14 point proposal.

14 POINT PROPOSAL

Iran has presented a 14-point peace proposal to Donald Trump via Pakistan. The proposal is a response with amendments in the American 9-point formula, aimed to end the war in the next 30 days rather than extending the ceasefire.

As per Syed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's proposal demands withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iran's surroundings, lifting the naval blockade with a new Hormuz mechanism, lifting sanctions, releasing Iran's frozen assets, and paying compensation.

After the previous proposal Iran decided to first negotiate the blockade and conditions of the Hormuz, & remain the nuclear deal for the next two months. In contradiction, the U.S. demanded:
  • That discussion of nuclear enrichment will take place however, no conclusion shall be reached.
  • By the time discussions focuses on non-nuclear things, Iran should not extract highly enriched uranium, especially from Isfahan.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs dismissed media reports of Iranian nuclear concessions and mine-clearance pledges as "media imagination" with no relation to the current plan. Iran says no nuclear talks are under way and nuclear won't be discussed until the war ends, while Trump says the war won't end without a nuclear deal.

The IRGC says U.S. options have narrowed and Trump must choose between an impossible military operation or a bad deal with Iran, as per Press TV.

Meanwhile a senior Iranian official affirmed that Tehran envisions ending the war and resolving the shipping standoff first, while leaving talks on Iran's nuclear program for later.

TRUMP's PROJECT FREEDOM

The U.S. President, Donald Trump stated  that he will soon be reviewing the plan that Iran has just sent despite  regarding it unacceptable as he marks Iran's compensation to humanity, and the world is due.

He responded to the media, that a possible misbehave could restart strike on Iran.

Trump has also announced "Project Freedom", a unilateral U.S. Navy Operation starting from Monday morning to forcibly escort foreign ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, saying "if this process is disrupted, we will deal with it by force".

He added that countries from all over the world that operate the hundreds of ships stuck around the Strait of Hormuz have reached out to the U.S. for help, with the President vowing to step up.

The U.S. military confirmed it would begin supporting the mission to "restore freedom of navigation for commercial shipping" through Strait.

The future depends solely on the agreement, if it accords the situations must be enhanced to a great degree.

IRAN's RESPONSE

In a direct response to Trump's new U.S. Navy operation, Iran's National Security Commission Chairman Azizi noted that any U.S. interference with the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire, dismissing Trump's "Project Freedom" announcements as 'delusional posts' and rejecting any ''blame-shifting scenarios', as per Tasnim.

Azizi rejected Trump's framing of Project Freedom as a humanitarian and freedom of navigation operation, allowing him to authorize U.S. strikes on Iran without Congressional approval.

He also warned that any U.S. intervention will violate the ceasefire after Trump announces plan to escort ships stranded in Strait.

Iran has clearly warned this will violate the ceasefire and Iran will see it as military intrusion and not a humanitarian aid, risking escalation.

CHINA's BLOCKING MECHANISM

China has ordered, its Ministry of Commerce to activate its 2021 Blocking Rules, all Chinese firms and individuals not to comply with the U.S. sanctions targeting five independent Chinese oil refineries accused of purchasing Iranian crude oil.

Beijing called the U.S. measure, imposed under two executives orders, an "unjustified" and "improper" use of extraterritorial law.

This move puts multinational companies operating in both markets in direct legal conflict: compliance with U.S. sanctions now risks violating Chinese law, and vice versa.  Global banks and firms with dollar exposure face secondary sanctions risk if they continue dealing with the affected refineries.

The shift is a decisive challenge to the American economic power.

THE EFFECTS

  • Oil Prices rising due to disruption
  • Trade routes affected worldwide
  • Around 20,000 sailors stranded on ships

WHAT IT MEANS?

TRIGGERED ESCALATION: If project freedom is executed it could risk military action in the entire gulf.

POSSIBLE DEAL: In case, U.S. accepts Iran's proposal it will produce fruitful outcomes.

NO NUCLEAR DEAL: Even though the proposal is issue, the nuclear deal is terminated for a while

FINAL VERDICT

On the guidance of the Supreme Leader, Mojtoba Khamenei, it is direct that collecting toll on nuclear, uranium enrichment, & the Hormuz are Iran's universal rights and no chances for compromise are left.

The Chinese sanction is troublesome for international companies that operate both in China and America.

Whereas the proposal is set to delay talks on nuclear issues until a later phase would appear at odds with Washington.

The new 'project freedom' is the most significant step by the U.S. administration to reopen the Strait since Iran shut it down already in the war. While Trump claims the move is "humanitarian" it is a clear U.S. challenge to Iran's effort to control the Hormuz. An Iranian military response could spark a confrontation or even an escalation back to war.

The conflict again comes at standoff- with no compromise and breakthrough from both sides.
