Israel passes law against Palestinians, provoking global criticism: Know more

It has come to attention that in Israel's parliament, the National Security Minister, Ben Gvir can be sen with a glass of wine, in a political celebration.

This is because the Israeli parliament has passed a law, which is being criticized globally. This law was passed on Monday morning in the parliament.

The law states that any Palestinian involved in the death for any Israeli, that person known to be guilty of that will be sentenced to death. But this law does not apply to Yahudi Israeli.

Meaning if an Israeli is involved for the death of a Palestinian, they won't be sentenced to death.

This law was passed by 62 votes in support and 48 voted for its opposition in the assembly of 120. Prime Minister Benjamin Nentanyahu also supported this law, which will come in order within 30 days.

This law is considered Draconian (extremely harsh, severe, and cruel) and extremist globally.

Ben Gvir was demanding for this law for a very long time.

The Palestinian authority considers this a war crime against the people of Palestine and is the violation of the fourth Geneva Convention, which guarantees the security and impartiality of people.

This law is specially applied to the Palestinians who are living in the West Bank (in the Palestine). This sentiment is also being criticized.

The experts says under this law there will be no trials made on Yahudis. On the other hand, according to the international law, the Israelis have no right to create laws for the West Bank, because officially and authoritatively that area does not belong to Israel.

Many legal experts are expressing concerns over the law, that it contains no provision for an apology which are against the international criteria. According to Human Rights organisation, in punishments given to Palestinians in the military court is 96%. Meaning if 100% Palestinians are blamed then 96% will be accused.

According to an organisation Adameer, among 9500 Palestini jailers around 1/3rd of them are in custody without any trial. Many other organisations consider this a biased law.

France, Germany, Italy, and Britain are the nations against this law and consider this against the international norms.

The OIC, the organization of oil countries in gulf, has said that OIC condemns the approval of this law on the execution Palestinian prisoners.

They have also written a letter to Israel for the same, which states that this is an international community in which the UN, International Human Rights Organistaion are a part. Such a law to be passed is not legal.

This has ignited a sensitive debate in the global politics. The supporters call it a necessary step and the critics call it discriminatory. will this reduce terrorism? or increase anger among the citizens?
