'WhatsApp reads your messages' X, Telegram's allegation : Know More

In America, California, a case has been filed against WhatsApp. 

Elon Musk tweeted, "WhatsApp end to end encryption privacy is a total lie" 


"WhatsApp cannot be trusted on privacy, its term its untrue". He claims that WhatsApp is currently committing the biggest encryption fraud.

Pavel Durov says, WhatsApp "Encryption" may be the biggest consumer fraud in history- deceiving billions of users.

Despite its claim, it read users' messages and share them with third parties. Telegram has never done this- and never will.

According to the complaint, the backdoor allows Meta and WhatsApp employees and/or third-party contractors to "circumvent the encryption in order to view users' private messages."

Although backdoor access is mainly used to "review messages flagged for fraud" or policy-violating conduct, the case says, Meta, WhatsApp and Accentrue employees nevertheless have "broad access to users' messages."

Meaning Meta gives your messages to third parties like Accenture. It also allows reading and they also store it.

This controversy began after a new class action lawsuit was filed against Whatsapp in the US.

This case was filed in January 2026 by Brian Y. Shirazi and Nida Samson along with Accenture, in the federal court of California.

Meta platforms and exchangers are also in this case. The meta platfroms include WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

The petitioners have demanded a trial and have also appealed for damages from the company. 

In the petition it has also been claimed that WhatsApp intercepts the messages of its users and Meta is also sharing these messages with third parties. 

On the other hand, WhatsApp claims its messages are end to end encrypted, meaning no third person between the sender and the receiver can read their messages.

As the Middle East Conflict moves, enters a new strategic move- 14 point proposal.  14 POINT PROPOSAL Iran has presented a 14-point peace proposal to Donald Trump via Pakistan.
