Houthis strike Dubai, Iran rejects talk, U.S. lacks weapons?

HOUTHIS STRIKE IN DUBAI & RED SEA

 Yesterday, the Houthis attacked Dubai in the UAE—that is, the United Arab Emirates—targeting the Jebel Ali Port, specifically hitting a fuel depot there.

Satellite images have also emerged showing a crater at the fuel depot in Jebel Ali Port, where explosion occurred and several missiles landed.

Last night, a Saudi-flagged vessel, was attacked by the Houthis, causing an outburst of a massive explosion.

The Houthis, have demonstrated through these attack that Dubai is within range of both Iran and the Houthis, directly targeting and challenging Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

It is reported that since the Houthis imposed this blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea, they have destroyed more than nine ships.

Each time a ship is hit, oil prices spike as Saudi Arabia is one of biggest oil exporterto many countries worldwide.

DIPLOMATIC STALEMATE

Last week, the U.S. President, Donald Trump stated that he would launch a massive attack and blow up all of Iran's energy infrastructure. Later, Mohammad-Bin-Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, appealed to Donald Trump to halt the attacks.

Analyst suggest that Saudi Arabia took this move, as they were aware that those attacks would also affect them and Saudi will also have to pay the price.

IRAN REJECTS TALKS

Donald Trump made a statement that Iran called him and said, "Let's talk," and that if Iran makes a deal, it will be better for them. Trump said that good talks are underway, and in the next 48 hours, they will reach a conclusion.

On the other hand, CNN is reporting that Iran says no talks are going on with America

Iran officially stated they are not talking to America, but they are in discussions with Pakistan and Qatar.

This was confirmed by Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, who reported that they are in active communication, and that currently, Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speake,r Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf are not going anywhere; they are in Iran.

Bagher also noted that the U.S. naval blockade and other aggressive steps against Iran are still ongoing, so the situation is not entirely normal.

However, he confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Oman regarding the new routing,

Iran official media, Al Jazeera, reported that both countries have prepared a joint declaration for this agreement and will make an announcement soon, emphasizing that no American interference will be tolerated.

BATTLE ON HORMUZ & IRAN'S DEMANDS

All discussions regarding the Strait of Hormuz are taking place with Oman. Iran had already affirmed that the Strait of Hormuz is a mutual matter between Oman and Iran.

They clearly emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is not international waters, but it is within the territorial waters of Iran and Oman, and shall be jointly controlled by them respectively. Therefore, Iran questions what America has to do with it and why they should talk to America.

It has also come to light that reports from the Press TV and others revealed that Donald Trump wants to resume negotiations based on the draft of the previous Islamabad Accord

Until now, the idea was that the Strait of Hormuz would be completely open, and that Oman and Iran will jointly control it, where Iran will control the inbound traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, and Oman will control the outbound traffic, or vice versa.

Before the war, Hormuz was open to everyone, as war prevailed, it returned back to blockade Ultimately, America had to bow down again, losing something every time they attack Iran, which damages and causes suffering to the entire world.

Iran has also laid down its conditions.

1. U.S. BLOCKADE END: The naval blockade on ships coming to and going from Iran must end.
2. NO SANCTIONS: The sanctions imposed on Iran's oil, gas, and petrochemicals must be lifted, that would enable Iran to sell its oil and petrochemical products. The US Treasury Department is working upon to lif sanctions, meaning Iran will be able to sell its oil and generate revenue, especially since Iran has the third largest oil reserves in the world.
3. RELEASING FUNDS: Iran demanded that its funds frozen in other foreign countries must be released, as it needs them for their nation's interest.
4. LEBANON WITH IRAN: Iran is not ready to abandon Lebanon and stated that America promised to enforce a ceasefire in Lebanon but failed.
5. COLLECTING TOLL TAX: Iran stated that it has the right to collect a fee from every ship passing through Hormuz.

U.S. MILITARY IN PRESSURE

America is gradually on the backfoot because they have already used up nearly 80% of the interceptors for their THAAD missile defense system and about half of the interceptors for their Patriot system

Officials state that if Iran sustains this conflict for even three months, it will become a massive problem for America.

THAAD, which stands for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, is America's advanced missile defense system that acts like a radar to intercept and destroy incoming enemy missiles.

WHAT IT MEANS?

FINAL VERDICT

This means that whatever happens, Iran is not willing to compromise on two things: control over Hormuz will remain with Iran directly or indirectly, and there must be a ceasefire in Lebanon—it will not leave Lebanon or Hezbollah alone.

According to Iran, the Iran-Oman agreement will only be an administrative step, not an agreement to open Hormuz. Iran claims that Hormuz will open only when it is completely under Iranian control, and it will not accept a shared or internationally supervised system—something it didn't accept in the Islamabad Accord either.

Iran-U.S. war is prevailing. It is not just confined to attack but has increased to striking a nation's dependency, to disarm them. 

As of now the escalation will previla. Iran is now beginning to take retaliatory actions, which directly results in extended strikes. 

This entire week, Saudi Arabia has been the main target be it attacking their largest oil refinery or blocking 60% of their export and trade. 

Houthis are also playing a significant role as Iran's supporter. Their strategic move of blocking the Red Sea, will sooner or later pressurize the hostilities, the only wait is that who will fall first.
